Accessible bathrooms · full supply & fit
Independence, dignity and beautiful design.
Plan B are specialists in disability and accessible bathroom refurbishments. We handle everything — design, supply, fit — and we assist you in completing the grant application and getting it approved, so the whole process is genuinely stress-free.

The grants
Council grants can cover a large part of the work.
Three grants are available to older people and disabled people, applied for through your local authority — Kildare County Council for most of our customers. The amounts below are from the current official application form.
Up to €40,000
Housing Adaptation Grant for Disabled People
For larger adaptations — level-access showers, wet rooms, downstairs bathrooms, grab rails, ramps, stair lifts and extensions. The grant covers a percentage of the approved cost, depending on household income.
Up to €8,000
Mobility Aids Grant
For smaller mobility aids and minor works — grab rails, access ramps and similar quick, practical changes. Can cover 100% of the approved cost.
Up to €10,700
Housing Aid for Older People Grant
For essential repairs and improvements to the homes of older people, including bathroom upgrades and related works.
Grant amounts depend on household income and the approved cost of the works, and the grant must be approved before any work begins. Don't worry about the small print — we walk you through all of it and confirm the exact documents your application needs.
A very stress-free application
You'll rarely deal with the paperwork alone.
We will assist you in completing the application and getting the grant passed — from the first home visit to the council's approval letter. This is how it works:
We start with a home visit
We come to you, take exact measurements and listen carefully to what daily life in the home actually needs. You are under no obligation — the survey and advice are free.
We complete the application with you
Grant forms are daunting, so we sit down and fill them in together, and we prepare a clear drawing and specification of the proposed works for the council. We tell you exactly which documents are needed — proof of income, the doctor's certificate, and where it applies, the occupational therapist's report — so nothing is missing.
We submit it and follow it through
We lodge the application with your local authority — Kildare County Council for most of our customers — and we keep in touch until a decision comes through, answering any queries the council raises along the way.
Grant approved — then work begins
The grant must be approved before any work starts, so we plan the programme around the approval date. When it lands, our own fitting team carries out the full supply and fit.
A finished bathroom, not a building site
We work cleanly and respectfully in occupied homes, keep disruption to a minimum, and hand over a bathroom that is safer, easier to use — and beautifully finished.
